Marsden Bay is a kitesurfing spot located in the Whangarei Harbour, on the east coast of Northland. The bay offers a semi-sheltered body of water with views of the former Marsden Point refinery site. Northeast to east winds are onshore. The harbour offers some protection from open ocean swell. Tides influence the rideable area. The bottom is sandy and muddy. Spot for intermediate riders.
