Overview

Tip Rd is a kitesurfing spot located on the east coast of Northland, in the Bream Bay area, near Whangarei. The spot is accessible from Tip Road which leads to the beach. Northeast to east winds are onshore and the most frequent. The sandy beach faces east and is exposed to Pacific swell. The water is open with regular waves. Spot for intermediate riders.
