Carlton Beach is a kitesurfing spot located east of Hobart in Tasmania, on the south coast of Frederick Henry Bay. This beach offers sailing conditions with good exposure to the prevailing winds. The prevailing wind comes from the northwest to west in summer. Waves are moderate in the bay. The bottom is sandy and the beach offers decent space for setup. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. The water is cold, a thick wetsuit is required. Parking available at the beach access. Carlton is a quiet little coastal village.
