Marahau Beach is a kitesurfing spot located at the entrance to Abel Tasman National Park, in the Tasman region, on the South Island of New Zealand. This spot benefits from an exceptional natural setting, at the gateway to one of the most popular national parks in the country. The beach is bordered by crystal-clear waters and native forest. North and northwest thermal winds are the most frequent in this area, blowing regularly between 10 and 20 knots during the warm season. The spot is suitable for beginner to intermediate kitesurfers. Access is easy from the village of Marahau. A kite school (Kitescool) operates in the Nelson/Marahau area.
