Clifton Beach is a kitesurfing spot located southeast of Hobart in Tasmania, on the east coast of the South Arm peninsula. It is one of the most popular spots in the Hobart area, known for its consistent wave conditions and accessibility. The prevailing wind comes from the northwest to west in summer, blowing cross-shore on this southeast-facing beach. Waves are moderate and consistent. The bottom is sandy and the beach is long. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. The water is cold (14-18 degrees C), a thick wetsuit is required. Parking and amenities available. It is a favourite spot of the Hobart kite community for its reliable conditions.
