Spoil Bay (or Spoil Bank) is a kitesurfing spot located in Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is the most popular spot in Port Hedland, offering remarkable flat water on the east side of the artificial breakwater (spoil bank). The spot is rideable at all tides, but beginners will prefer low tide which exposes a sandbar offering additional safety. In summer, northwest/west-northwest winds blow in the late afternoon, but are lighter than in the south of the state (12-14m kites recommended). Winter offers southeast winds.
