Goolwa Beach is an ocean kitesurfing spot located at the mouth of the Murray River in South Australia. This spot covers the same area as Goolwa Beach (ID 3037), offering powerful wave conditions on this beach exposed to the Southern Ocean. The prevailing southwest wind blows onshore to cross-onshore with powerful summer thermal breezes. The Southern Ocean swell produces regular waves of 1 to 3 metres. The beach is immense and the bottom is sandy. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for advanced riders due to the power of the waves and the Murray mouth currents. 4WD access is possible on some beach sections.
