Lake Ferry is a kitesurfing spot located on the south coast of the Wairarapa, in the Wellington region, on the North Island of New Zealand. Despite its name, it is not a lake but a wild ocean beach facing the Cook Strait. The spot is exposed to powerful southern swells and offers demanding conditions. The prevailing winds come from the south and northwest. The spot is suitable for advanced kitesurfers due to the wave exposure, currents and relative isolation. The beach is long and offers plenty of space. Lake Onoke (lagoon) nearby can offer calmer conditions.
