Foxton River Mouth is a kitesurfing spot located at the mouth of the Manawatu River, on the west coast of the North Island, in the Manawatu-Wanganui region. The beach faces west, towards the Tasman Sea. The prevailing winds are from the west to northwest, blowing onshore from the Tasman Sea. Southwest winds also work. The Tasman Sea swell can be powerful. Watch out for currents at the river mouth. The bottom is sandy. Spot for intermediate to advanced riders.
