Thorøhuse is a small fishing village on the west coast of Funen, 5 km south of Assens, facing the Lillebælt. The spot is in Torø Vig bay. Local spot not documented in kite guides, but with favourable orientation for prevailing westerly winds. The small Thorø peninsula offers a rich natural setting.
Relatively flat water in Torø Vig bay in moderate winds. The Lillebælt is a narrow strait limiting wave formation. In strong westerly winds, waves can become significant against the breakwaters. Clear water.

Tidal currents in the Lillebælt. Rocky coastline with breakwater stones — no sandy beach for launching. Nature protection zones on Thorø (seals, porpoises, birds). Ship traffic in the strait. Unsupervised spot — self-rescue essential.
