Kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf spot on Lac de Madine (55), a 1,000 ha lake in the Parc naturel régional de Lorraine, located at Nonsard near Thiaucourt-Regniéville. The main kitesurf launch is at the capitainerie (Zone 1) with large grass rigging areas. A second launch point behind the restaurant at the port exit (Zone 2) works better in summer and by easterly winds. Kitesurf managed by AKL (Association Kitesurf Lorraine, 30€/year membership). Windsurf/wingfoil managed by AWM Madine. Navigation open year-round under AKL organisation.

Intermediate
South-West and West are the dominant and best directions, representing the vast majority of sessions. The launch zone obliges an immediate upwind tack or risk ending near the Chevaliers dyke. Wind is often irregular — very calm near shore while blowing well in the middle of the lake. Return can be tricky. East wind works but is colder (spring caution) and requires Zone 2 launch. North is prohibited.
Kitesurf is only authorised through the AKL (Association Kitesurf Lorraine) — individual practice without club membership is prohibited. FFVL licence mandatory. Natura 2000 zone strictly off-limits. Do not navigate inside the port (yellow buoys). Beach and swimming area prohibited. During summer, sessions are exclusively supervised by AKL board members. North wind: prohibited. By NE or E: launch and departure extremely difficult from Zone 1.
