Palm Beach — THE kitesurf spot in Cannes, facing the Lérins Islands. Located at the extreme south of the city at Cap de la Croisette, starting point of the famous boulevard. Magnificent setting: clear views of the coastline, the Lérins Islands and yachts at anchor. A surprise to discover a kite spot in the heart of glamorous Côte d'Azur! Favorite spot of the whole region in East wind — everyone converges here on good days. Decent ramps, rideable break on a shallow bank 300m offshore. In strong East winds: waveriding conditions. Water protected by the Lérins Islands — often flat or slightly choppy except in SW. Kite authorized year-round (south side of parking). FFVL certified.

Access: from A8 exit 42 "Grasse", direction Cannes Centre, Boulevard Carnot, Place du 18 Juin, left onto Boulevard de la Croisette, follow direction "Palm Beach" to the end. From Antibes: D35/D6007 direction Cap de la Croisette. Large free parking on the seafront. Launch from the parking (former heliport, reduced zone). E/ENE: THE reference wind — everyone converges here. Decent ramps, swell, rideable break at 300m. Arrive early! SW/W: also possible, walk upwind to launch on the cape side. Water less flat. S/SE: works, cross-shore. Kite excursion to Lérins Islands possible (30 min upwind, easier by ferry). Reef-break on the west point of Sainte-Marguerite. Abbey of Saint-Honorat on the south side.

SW/W: water less protected, choppier. Walk upwind to launch on the cape side. N/NW: doesn't work — land wind, no conditions. Water protected by the Lérins Islands — often flat except in SW.
Very technical launch — former heliport on parking, reduced zone surrounded by obstacles (lampposts, signs, cars, rocks). Hand on quick release mandatory. Very rocky coastline, narrow beaches — little space to drift in case of trouble. In strong East wind: current + waves, technical spot. Very busy spot on good days — arrive early for parking and space on the water. Yachts at anchor offshore — careful navigation.
