Sadovniki is a kitesurfing spot on the west coast of Sakhalin Island, facing the Sea of Japan (Tatar Strait). Sadovniki village is in the southern part of the island.
Sakhalin's west coast offers sandy beaches exposed to west and southwest winds from the Sea of Japan. The water body is open with frequent chop.
Prevailing winds blow from the west and southwest. Season is short, July to September. Water is cold (10-18°C), full wetsuit required. Remote spot, self-sufficiency recommended.
