Lake Goczałkowice (Jezioro Goczałkowickie) is a large artificial reservoir located in Silesia, south of Katowice. It is the main kitesurfing spot in the Upper Silesia region. The body of water covers approximately 32 km² and is quite shallow (average 5m). It is primarily used as a drinking water reservoir, which may result in sailing restrictions in certain areas. Check local regulations. West and southwest winds are most frequent. The lake is popular with riders from Katowice, Bielsko-Biała, and Krakow. The season runs from May to October.
