Spot functioning

Regulations:

• Only launch/landing zone: Badeplatz Brüggli
• 150m shore zone: only for launch/landing via shortest route
• Minimum safety distance of 150m from public boats and fishermen
• Launches and landings perpendicular to the shore
• Nature protection zones forbidden (no sailing, no land access)
• Protection zones + shallow waters are forbidden zones: min. 300m distance

On the water

On-water rules:

• Launch kite in water towards the lake
• Land in water towards the shore
• Never fly kite at zenith, go immediately into water
• If people downwind: wait until they have moved away
• Minimum 2 line lengths downwind distance for jumping
• If relaunch impossible: roll up lines and swim back

Public parking directly at the spot, at Campingplatz Brüggli.

Hazards

Main dangers:

• Very gusty wind with sudden changes
• Technical launch area with trees
• Railway behind the campsite
• Shipping lane crosses kite zone
• Many nature protection zones to avoid

Emergency exit: Best exit spot is the 2nd bay of Brüggli. In absolute emergency, exit anywhere but beware of private properties.

Wind specificities

Best directions: West to Southwest and South (Föhn)

Wind is often gusty and can strengthen or drop very quickly. The launch area is partially in wind shadow with several trees disturbing the flow.

The shipping lane crosses the kite zone.
