Istro West is a kitesurfing spot on the north coast of eastern Crete, in the western part of the Istro area, in Mirabello Bay. This is the beach adjacent to Istro East, offering an alternative launch point.
Wind conditions are identical to Istro East: onshore Meltemi from N/NNW in Mirabello Bay. Water conditions are similar with partial bay protection.
Launching from sand beach. Sailing area within the bay. Alternative launch point to Istro East when it's crowded. Works from June to September.

N/NNW onshore Meltemi in Mirabello Bay, 12-22 knots from June to September. Identical conditions to Istro East. Consistent wind in the afternoon.
Maritime traffic in Mirabello Bay. Moderate current possible. No permanent supervision. Rocks at beach ends.
