Secret Beach is a spot on the west coast of the southern tip of Karpathos, near Agrilaopotamos. This wild and isolated beach offers an alternative to the east coast by receiving the Meltemi as side-onshore (safer direction). The setting is spectacular with cliffs and crystal-clear water typical of the Dodecanese. Conditions remain powerful but the wind direction makes the return to shore easier than at Devils Bay or Gun Bay.
West-facing beach receiving the Meltemi as side-onshore. Moderate waves. Wind pushes towards the coast. Safer alternative to the east coast in strong Meltemi.
Warm Aegean Sea in summer (23-26°C). Moderate waves. Sandy to rocky bottom. Crystal-clear water.
