Agiokambos is a spot on the Greek mainland coast (Thessaly), facing the North Euboean Gulf. The beach faces east, toward the channel separating the mainland from Evia island. It's a practical spot for riders from Athens or Thessaly, offering consistent conditions thanks to the gulf's channeling effect.
The Meltemi is channeled through the North Euboean Gulf and arrives on this east coast as NE/ENE, offering ideal side-onshore conditions. The water is protected by the channel, limiting chop even in strong wind.
The spot works from May to September with the Meltemi channeled as NE. Best conditions are in the afternoon with thermal reinforcement. Also works with E and SE winds that arrive onshore. Protected water ideal for foil and kite progression.
Protected water of the North Euboean Gulf. Fetch is limited by the channel width (10-15 km), producing small short chop even in strong wind. Sandy bottom with progressive depth. Clear, warm water in summer (24-27°C). Moderate current along the coast.

Open all year round
Parking along the coastal road and on areas near the beach. Agiokambos is a small, not very touristy coastal village, so parking is rarely an issue. Easy access from the national road connecting Volos to Lamia.
Current in the channel, especially at narrow passages. Maritime traffic — ferries and commercial vessels operate in the North Euboean Gulf. Stay clear of shipping lanes. In W/NW wind (offshore), do not sail from this coast — you would be pushed toward Evia with no guarantee of easy return.
The Meltemi is channeled through the North Euboean Gulf, arriving as NE/N on this east coast. The Venturi effect between the Thessaly mountains (Olympus, Ossa, Pelion to the north) and Evia's mountains accelerates the wind, typically 12-20 knots in summer, gusting to 25 knots.
SE winds (linked to low-pressure systems) also arrive onshore and are rideable. With local thermal breeze, E/ENE wind develops in the afternoon even without strong Meltemi.
