Les Blancs Sablons is a wave and freeride spot on the Iroise coast, facing the island of Ouessant. A "carrot spot" — unpredictable, sometimes fantastic, sometimes disappointing. Not a beginner spot.
Beach exposed to W/NW swells. Best kitesurf from low to mid tide — at high tide the beach shrinks dramatically (may disappear entirely in big coefficients) and the wind becomes very gusty. Great for wave riding, freeride, windsurf.

Beach break exposed to W/NW swell. Waves can be powerful — violent shorebreak at high tide. Some rocks present. Kite mainly from low to mid tide. SW gives port-tack side-on wind; NE gives starboard-tack side-on wind.
Intermediate
Open all year round
Several car parks about 400m from the beach. Most convenient for riders: GPS 48.36810, -4.75982. Le Conquet a few minutes away for supplies.
Intermediate to advanced level — powerful swell at times. At high tide with coefficient above 80: beach may disappear, very gusty wind near cliffs. Bathing zone in the west section from 1 July to 31 August (marked by flags on the beach). Must share with surfers, bodyboarders and windsurfers in good swell.
Wind from SW to NNW is favourable — best sectors are W to NNW. Outside this range, wind is often irregular and gusty. SE is offshore. A North thermal works in summer and can deliver excellent NE sessions in spring.
Warning: at high tide with big coefficient, the wind becomes very gusty near the cliffs. Plan sessions around low tide.
