La Govelle is a kitesurf spot near La Baule on the Côte d'Amour, in a small rocky cove. Works in southwest to northwest wind. Intermediate level with rocky terrain requiring care. Picturesque setting with the Pointe de Penchâteau backdrop.
Access via the D245 from Batz-sur-Mer. Walk to the beach from the car park. Carefully survey rocky areas before launching — identify safe entry and exit points. Best at mid to low tide when more sandy areas are accessible. Self-organised spot.

Open year-round. Best season: May to October. Wild rocky coast — no services on site. Survey conditions on arrival.
Intermediate
Rocky Atlantic coast with Atlantic swell 0.3 to 1.5m in westerly conditions. Sandy pockets between rocky sections. Coastal currents present. No beach break infrastructure — assess independently on arrival.
West and northwest dominant Atlantic winds. The rocky coastal profile can create local acceleration or turbulence effects. South to southwest winds also work on this section of coast. Classic Atlantic sea breeze in summer afternoons.
