Vineyards is a launch zone on the south end of Lac de Monteynard-Avignonet (Isère) at 494m altitude, named after the surrounding vineyard landscape. This sector sits at the entry point of the lake where the south thermal wind first hits the water surface, making it one of the strongest areas of the lake.
The dominant south wind (vent de Sisteron) blows consistently in spring and summer with 25–40 knots regularly. A return north wind also occurs. Exclusively for advanced and expert riders.
