Treffort is one of the launch zones on the Lac de Monteynard-Avignonet (Isère), located on the south-west shore at 484m altitude. This sector offers a launch point sheltered from the dominant south wind, making it a popular spot to rig and depart before heading out onto the main lake.

Like the whole Monteynard lake, the wind is dominated by a powerful south thermal (vent de Sisteron) reaching 25–40 knots regularly in spring and summer, and a return north wind. Expert to advanced riders only.
