Lacanau-Océan - Maison de la Glisse is a FFVL-approved kitesurf spot at the northern end of Lacanau-Océan (Gironde), at the Maison de la Glisse on the seafront. This wide exposed beach is used outside the summer season or in summer after 7pm. Do not interfere with surf lessons. Navigation is reserved for experienced riders as waves can be large and currents strong.

The typical wind is a NW thermal sea breeze around 15 knots. Be careful not to drift north when the wind is due north — returning to shore can be difficult. Ocean spot with waves, shorebreak, and currents. Advanced riders recommended.
