Mers-les-Bains is a kitesurf spot on the Picardy coast (Somme), at the border with Normandy near Le Tréport. This beach at the foot of tall white chalk cliffs is exposed to South-West winds — the classic dominant wind for this stretch of coast. The cliffs create some wind shadow effects depending on direction.

Tidal spot with a shingle and sand beach. The cliff scenery is impressive. Mers-les-Bains is a classic Victorian seaside resort. Best in strong SW conditions when the wind is unobstructed across the bay.
