Le Mérou — official kite zone in the northeast of the Giens peninsula (Hyères, Var). A fallback spot accessible to beginners when L'Almanarre gets too intense. Larger and wider beach than L'Almanarre. Similar but reversed conditions: flat in Mistral (W), choppy in east wind. With east wind in summer season, Le Mérou is THE ideal kitesurf spot in Hyères (La Badine closes in summer).
Access: northeast of the Giens peninsula. In Mistral (W): flat water, ideal for beginners and freeride. In east wind: choppy, waves. Official kite zone open in summer when La Badine closes.
