Beg Léguer is a freeride and wave kitesurf spot at the mouth of the Léguer river, on the outskirts of Lannion (Côtes d'Armor). South-southwest exposure. Freeride base, turning into a wave spot in strong winds. Situated at the foot of the Beg Léguer cliffs — wild and scenic setting. The Lannion region is one of the top 3 in Brittany for wind statistics, with up to 300 navigable days/year. The 12m tidal range dramatically transforms the spot: rising tide is the ideal time for waves.
Kite's Cool (kitescool.fr) — kitesurf, kitefoil, wingfoil school and shop at Saint-Michel-en-Grève (closest school, 10km north). École de Kitesurf Bretagne (ecolekitesurfbretagne.com) — itinerant school covering the Lannion–Baie de Morlaix sector.

Rocks to the right of the spot — reconnoitre at low tide. Shorebreak at high tide — be careful when launching and landing. Tidal range up to 12m in the Lannion region: very strong currents. Rising tide: waves increase in size. River Léguer estuary nearby — current at the mouth. Do not ride alone.
SSW is the top orientation — wind is somewhat irregular at the shoreline but manageable. S/SW/W also work. On rising tide with swell: nice waves. High tide shorebreak. Rocks on the right side. Lannion region: 300 navigable days/year for those who know the spots and tides well. 12m tidal range — check tide tables carefully.
