Overview

Le Clipon is a kitesurf spot near Gravelines (Nord), on the flat North Sea coast between Calais and Dunkirk. This exposed beach catches the dominant winds from South-West to North-West that sweep across the open North Sea coastline.

Large tidal range. The area is flat and open with no significant shelter — winds are often strong and consistent. A local spot for riders in the Gravelines / Dunkirk area. Check for any restrictions related to the nearby Gravelines nuclear power plant zone.
