Les Rosaires (Plérin) is a 2km NE-facing sandy beach near Saint-Brieuc, popular for kitesurf and windsurf when E and N winds are up. Good fallback spot for the sector in E/NE wind. The beach is well-known locally but sees heavy family use in summer — wind sports best enjoyed off-season. Coastal path and pebble ridge behind the beach. TUB Line R shuttle connects to Saint-Brieuc centre in summer.
WINDSURFBREIZH22 (windsurfbreizh22.com) — active local windsurf/kite community for Côtes d'Armor spots. No permanent kite school on site.
Intermediate
Open all year round
Wind can enter in corridors due to coastal relief — gusty and irregular in certain directions. Waves somewhat disorganised close to shore — better to head offshore for cleaner conditions. Swimmers and families in summer. Animals forbidden July 1 – August 31 (10:00–19:00). Check local bylaws for kite navigation zones.
Works mainly E and N/NW — NE-facing beach. WINDSURFBREIZH22: "works especially E and N/NW… wind sometimes enters in corridors due to coastal relief". Waves somewhat disorganised at the shore — go further out for jumping. Good fallback spot for the Saint-Brieuc sector in E wind.
