Lagune du Letty / Mer Blanche is an exceptional "double spot" near Bénodet in south Finistère. The lagoon side (northeast wind) looks like the Caribbean — shallow turquoise flat water over white sand. The ocean side (southwest wind) is reached at low tide when you can cross the empty lagoon on foot. Works in all wind directions — one face is always usable. Intermediate level. One of the most beautiful natural spots in Brittany.
Lagoon side: park at the UCPA base at low tide, or at Pointe du Cor de Groasguen (Camping Pointe Saint-Gilles). Sessions at high tide — the lagoon fills and gives Caribbean-like flat water. Ocean side: at low tide, cross the empty lagoon on foot to reach the beach (no swell). Alternatively park at Plage de Kerler and walk (via the naturist beach). Best approach from the west at Pointe du Cor de Groasguen — quickest at high tide. On falling tide the lagoon drains fast — strong current at the outflow channel.
Lagoon side: completely flat, very shallow turquoise water over white sand — Caribbean atmosphere. No swell, no current except on falling tide at the outflow. Rocky areas on the east side — foil not recommended there. Ocean side: no swell either (sheltered by the lagoon geometry), flat water with southwest conditions. Falling tide creates a strong outflow current at the lagoon exit — avoid this zone.

Open all year round
At low tide, you can park next to the UCPA, or at the Cor de Groasguen point (or Pointe Saint Gilles campsite). At high tide, use the Kerler beach parking lot but it's quite a long walk.
At falling tide, the lagoon empties quickly so there is current where the water flows out. On the eastern part of the water area, it's shallower (foil impossible) and there are some annoying rocks for your feet.
True all-direction spot — the lagoon works in northeast and east (cross-shore from land), the ocean side works in southwest. South and southeast also work for the lagoon. The enclosed lagoon geometry means almost any wind angle gives usable conditions somewhere. Best winds: northeast for lagoon flat water, southwest for ocean side.
