La Petite Mer is a kitesurf spot near Oye-Plage (Pas-de-Calais), between Calais and Dunkirk on the North Sea coast. This tidal beach faces north, well exposed to a wide range of winds: North, NE, SW, W and NW — particularly suited to the strong north-westerly winds that blow along this flat and open coastline.

Large tidal range. The area between Calais and Dunkirk is known for strong and gusty winds, especially in autumn and winter. The flat sandy beach offers plenty of space at low tide.
