Aldinga Beach is a popular kitesurfing spot located south of Adelaide in South Australia, on the Gulf St Vincent coast. This spot is a duplicate of Aldinga Beach (ID 2951) and covers the same beach area, one of the most frequented spots in the south Adelaide region. The prevailing wind comes from the south-west in summer (thermal sea breeze), blowing cross-shore to cross-onshore. Waves are generally small to moderate in the gulf. The water is shallow and the bottom sandy, offering accessible conditions for beginners. The best season is from November to March with regular afternoon thermal breezes between 15 and 25 knots. The spot has parking, showers and public toilets. The Aldinga Reef, a protected marine reserve, is located nearby and provides a rich habitat for marine life.
