Ashworths Beach is a kitesurfing spot located north of Christchurch, on the Canterbury coast facing Pegasus Bay. This relatively isolated sandy beach offers an uncrowded sailing area. The Nor'wester (NE) is the prevailing wind, blowing onshore to cross-onshore. South winds are side-shore. The beach is exposed to waves from Pegasus Bay. The sandy bottom and wide beach are well suited for kitesurfing. Spot for intermediate riders.
