Taieri River Mouth is a kitesurf spot located at the mouth of the Taieri River, south of Dunedin, in the Otago region. The beach faces southeast, towards the South Pacific Ocean. The dominant winds are from the southwest to south (cold South Pacific winds) and northeast. Southern swell can be powerful. Watch out for currents at the river mouth. The bottom is sandy. The water is cold year-round. Spot for intermediate to advanced riders.
