Kaitarakihi is an isolated spot on the west coast of Manukau Harbour, southwest of Auckland. This estuarine water area offers sailing conditions sheltered from ocean swells, with a sandy bottom. W and SW winds are the most favorable. The spot is uncrowded and suitable for intermediates. Watch out for the significant tides in Manukau Harbour which can expose vast mudflat areas.
