Army Bay is a sheltered beach located at the tip of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, near Shakespear Regional Park. Facing north, this bay offers a calm water area in the Hauraki Gulf. N to NE and SW winds work well on this spot. The bottom is sandy and shallow, suitable for beginners. The neighboring Shakespear Regional Park offers hiking trails and preserved native wildlife.
