Lagoon City is a unique residential community on Lake Simcoe's northeast shore built around a network of artificial canals (lagoons). The beach faces southwest with good fetch across the lake.
Access from Lagoon City's public beach. Parking available. The residential canal concept is unique in Ontario. Southwest and south winds offer best conditions.
Open all year round
Intermediate
Lake Simcoe facing southwest. Freshwater, moderate chop. Sandy bottom, gradual depth. Adjacent canals are not suited for kiting — ride on the open lake.
Do not ride in residential canals — too narrow and boat traffic. Respect private properties. Boat traffic in summer. Swimmers on the beach.
