Elephant Butte Lake is a kitesurf spot located in New Mexico, at 1375 m altitude. This large dam lake on the Rio Grande offers an extensive water area with dominant southwest and west winds. Afternoon thermal winds are regular and powerful. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders with an excellent flat water area for freeride and freestyle.
