Kaleden is a small village on the southwest shore of Skaha Lake, south of Penticton. The spot provides lake access from a quiet and uncrowded beach. The southerly thermal wind blows up the valley in the afternoon. Rural atmosphere with surrounding orchards and vineyards. Quiet alternative to the busier Penticton beaches.

Fresh water. Flat to choppy water. Sandy bottom. Fetch limited by lake width (1-2 km). Warm water in summer (20-23°C). Progressive depth. Ideal learning conditions.
Boat traffic in summer. Wind can be gusty in the valley corridor. Motorboats. The lake may seem calm but wind can pick up quickly.
