Rouge Beach sits at the mouth of the Rouge River, within Rouge National Urban Park — Canada's first national urban park. This sandy beach faces south on Lake Ontario, offering good fetch for south and southwest winds.
The spot enjoys a preserved natural setting despite its proximity to Toronto. The beach is wide with easy sand launch. Conditions are consistent with summer thermal winds reinforcing afternoon south breezes.

Currents near the Rouge River mouth, especially after heavy rain. Bottom can drop off quickly beyond the swimming area. Boat traffic in the area. Cold water temperature in spring (full wetsuit needed May through July).
