Tommy Thompson Park (Leslie Street Spit) is a 5 km artificial peninsula extending south into Lake Ontario. The lighthouse sits at its tip. The peninsula offers riding conditions on either side depending on wind — east or west.
Limited access: the park is only open weekends and holidays (check hours). It's an important bird nature reserve. Spot reserved for experienced riders due to distance from shore.

Two distinct water bodies on each side of the peninsula. West side (Outer Harbour): flatter, more sheltered water. East side (open lake): sustained chop with unlimited fetch. Freshwater, variable bottom.
Restricted access — check park opening hours. 5 km long peninsula — in case of trouble, shore is far. Riprap along the entire peninsula — do not approach. Protected bird nesting area. For self-sufficient riders only.
