The "Secret Spot" is a water body located in the Estrie highlands, at 406 meters altitude, in the Frontenac National Park area. As its name suggests, this spot is known to a small circle of local kitesurfers.
At this altitude in the Appalachians, winds are often stronger than in the lowlands. The water body, though modest in size, allows kitesurfing in an exceptional natural setting. Wild and preserved environment. Season from June to September.
Mountain fresh water, cool even in summer (17-21°C). Variable bottom (rocky, sandy). Modest-sized water body — sailing in a confined space. Clear water, good quality. High altitude can generate sustained windy conditions.
