Overview

Barrier Bay is a bay in the Whiteshell Provincial Park lake system, near Nutimik Lake. This bay offers sheltered conditions ideal for kitesurfing progression. The Canadian Shield with its pink granite rocks and boreal forest creates an exceptional natural setting. The bay is less wind-exposed than open lakes, offering gentler conditions for learning riders.

Sheltered freshwater bay in the Canadian Shield. Flat to slightly choppy water. Granitic rocky bottom with sandy areas. Moderate depth. Fetch limited by bay shape — calmer conditions than surrounding open lakes.
