Crawling Valley Reservoir is an irrigation reservoir in the eastern Alberta prairies, near Bassano, at 784 m altitude. This water body is part of the vast irrigation network in the Brooks-Bassano area.
The reservoir offers an open water body in the flat prairies, exposed to winds from all directions. Southwest and west prairie winds are most frequent. Isolated spot appreciated for its tranquility and space. Season from June to September.
Shallow irrigation reservoir. Fresh water (18-22°C in summer). Muddy bottom. Short prairie lake chop. Open water body with good fetch. Variable water level depending on irrigation — can drop considerably in late summer.

Isolated spot — no services nearby. Very variable water level. Violent prairie thunderstorms with lightning. Shallow bottom. No natural shelter. Rural access roads (gravel).
