Port Hope East Beach sits east of Port Hope's harbour, on the other side of the Ganaraska River. The beach faces south on Lake Ontario. Similar to West Beach but slightly more exposed to east winds.
Access from the east beach parking lot. Sand launch. Alternative to West Beach when it gets crowded.

Lake water facing south. Freshwater, moderate chop. Sandy bottom, gradual depth. Conditions very similar to Port Hope West Beach.
Ganaraska River current to the west. Possible rocky bottom in places. Cold water in spring. Check conditions before riding — chop can build quickly in sustained south winds.
