Atlantic Beach is the easternmost beach town on Bogue Banks, a barrier island on North Carolina's Crystal Coast. Located near Beaufort Inlet and Fort Macon State Park, the beach faces southeast and receives Atlantic swells well. The town offers a classic tourist beach environment with hotels, restaurants and organized beach access. Wave kiting is practiced here in NE to SE winds. Fort Macon, a restored Civil War fort, is a nearby historical point of interest.
