Boulder Reservoir is a popular body of water in Boulder, on the Colorado Front Range at 1,578m altitude. Well-known kitesurf spot among the local community with excellent exposure to Chinook winds descending from the Rockies. Panoramic views of the Flatirons and the Continental Divide.
Freshwater, moderate-sized reservoir. Cool water even in summer due to altitude. Short chop in sustained westerly winds. Sandy beaches on some sections.
