Freshwater, moderate-sized reservoir. Cool water even in summer due to altitude. Short chop in sustained westerly winds. Sandy beaches on some sections.

Hazards

Violent afternoon thunderstorms with lightning in summer — leave the water at first signs. Chinook winds can blow in extreme and sudden gusts (100+ km/h). Intense UV at 1,578m. Municipal reservoir — regulations to follow.
