Willard Reservoir is a kitesurf spot on a reservoir north of Ogden, at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. This 39 km² lake offers excellent fetch and consistent winds. Located near the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. Sandy beaches and ramps available. Good intermediate spot between Utah Lake and the Great Salt Lake. Season from April to October.
Freshwater with variable visibility. Water temperature from 2°C in winter (frozen) to 24°C in summer. Large lake with excellent fetch. Muddy to sandy bottom. Moderate to strong chop in high winds. Full 4/3 wetsuit in spring/fall, shorty in summer.

Large lake: conditions can deteriorate rapidly. Mountain thunderstorms with lightning. Winds can increase rapidly. Boat traffic in summer. Protected Bird Refuge areas to respect. Numerous mosquitoes in summer.
