Steep Rock Beach Park is a beach park on the west shore of Lake Manitoba, in the spectacular Steep Rock cliffs area. The white limestone cliffs, 10 m high, are reminiscent of the White Cliffs of Dover and are a unique geological site in Manitoba. The spot offers eastern exposure on Lake Manitoba with considerable fetch. The white sand beach at the foot of the cliffs creates an exceptional setting for kitesurfing. Camping and facilities available in the park.
Shallow Lake Manitoba with eastern exposure. Over 50 km fetch in east winds. Typical short, steep chop. Sandy bottom near the beach with crystal clear water thanks to the limestone. The area near the cliffs can create turbulence in certain winds.
