La Ciotat - Grande Plage is a FFVL-approved kitesurf spot in the bay of La Ciotat (Bouches-du-Rhône), between Marseille and Toulon. Best winds are East, South-East and South — the SE Marin sea breeze is ideal (20-25 knots) generating nice waves off the headlands. The kite zone is at the south end of the beach.

Do not enter the zone between Avenue de Provence and the Langlois jetty tip — reserved for the surf school. At low wind never drift into the surf zone. In winter rigging is often done roadside. Shared with windsurfers, surfers, sea kayakers and swimmers. Road just 5m from the beach — no kite at zenith when rigging. Parking at nearby St Jean (200m, free). A confirmed rider level is required.
