Lac Aylmer is a medium-sized lake in the Eastern Townships (Estrie) region, near the municipality of Disraeli. At 246 meters altitude, this lake offers a beautiful water body for lake kitesurfing.
The lake stretches approximately 10 km on a north-south axis, with a width of 1 to 3 km, providing sufficient fetch for good sailing conditions. The surrounding Appalachian hills can channel the wind. Clear water and forested landscapes typical of the Eastern Townships. Season from June to September.
Clear and clean fresh water. Pleasant summer temperature (20-23°C). Sandy to rocky bottom depending on the area. Moderate chop in sustained winds. The lake is oriented north-south — south and north winds offer the best fetch. Variable depth, caution near shorelines.
